Gave this reel to my son for his birthday. He has been eyeing it for some time and was very surprised to receive it as a gift. He has not used it yet but is already planning to take it on a trip this summer.
The rod arrived pretty fast and package is solid. I have not gotten a chance to use it, but I put two pieces together and put some weight on the tip of the rod to test it out. With 16 oz of weight, the rod bend a little bit and responded evenly when I pull the tip.

Great rod value, just like anything you could buy a custom rod and get a better rod but you would also spend a lot more money, I'm just getting into jigging and I've only used this once but caught a 30" gag grouper without a problem.
