The GOOFISH Purple Ares Light jigging rod is a 190cm two-piece butt-joint model with a listed 60–250g jig range and PE1.5–4 line class. The product parameter artwork specifies a 30T carbon body, solid carbon tip and Japan FUJI SiC guides with gold-finish frames.
Before your next session, select the spinning or casting version for your reel. The purple finish, yellow blank detailing and purple EVA grips give this model its own appearance, while the handle-area joint provides a shorter transport length than a full-length one-piece rod.

Match jig weight to conditions
Choose a jig within the listed 60–250g range according to current, depth, drift and lure control. The jig range does not establish a casting-weight allowance, guaranteed depth or fish-size limit. Match reel, line, leader and drag as a complete setup.
The 18kg deadlift label in the product artwork describes a load demonstration, not a recommended fishing-drag setting or permission to lift fish. Avoid high-sticking and use suitable landing equipment. Seat the joint carefully, align the guides and check the fit periodically. Do not pull on guide frames when separating sections. Rinse saltwater residue away, let the rod dry and inspect guides and fittings before use.

Gave this reel to my son for his birthday. He has been eyeing it for some time and was very surprised to receive it as a gift. He has not used it yet but is already planning to take it on a trip this summer.
The rod arrived pretty fast and package is solid. I have not gotten a chance to use it, but I put two pieces together and put some weight on the tip of the rod to test it out. With 16 oz of weight, the rod bend a little bit and responded evenly when I pull the tip.

Great rod value, just like anything you could buy a custom rod and get a better rod but you would also spend a lot more money, I'm just getting into jigging and I've only used this once but caught a 30" gag grouper without a problem.
