Goofish® Rod-More Than Fishing
GOOFISH® Ares Light 172cm Jigging Rod | 40–150g, FUJI SiC Guides
Description
Product details
The GOOFISH Ares Light jigging rod pairs an approximately 172cm length with a listed 40–150g jig range. A Solid Nano blank, gold-finish Japan FUJI KW-frame guides with SiC rings and a FUJI #17 reel seat give this compact model a clearly specified component setup.
Before your next session, choose the spinning or casting version for your reel, then decide whether full-length one-piece transport or a two-piece butt-joint option suits your plans. The green blank with pink detailing provides a distinctive finish; the two configurations remain separate choices, not interchangeable reel layouts.

Measurements and weights are approximate. The individual section lengths are not added together to establish assembled length because the joint overlaps. Separate weights for the one-piece and butt-joint options are not specified in the existing listing. PE is a line-sizing class, not an exact pound-test conversion.
Choose your reel and construction
Spinning: select this variant for a compatible spinning reel. Casting: select the casting variant for a compatible casting reel. Check the complete option name before ordering.
One piece: allow space for the full approximately 172cm rod during transport and storage. Two-piece butt joint: separates near the handle rather than midway along the blank. Align the guides and check the joint fit before fishing; avoid pulling on guide frames when separating sections.
Match the jig to your conditions
Choose a jig within the stated 40–150g range according to current, depth, drift and lure control. The listed jig range does not establish a casting-weight allowance, guaranteed fishing depth or target-fish size. Match reel, line, leader and drag as a complete setup rather than applying a universal line-strength conversion.
Compare other models in our jigging rod collection, or browse fishing jigs and choose a suitable weight for your rod and conditions.
Care and safe handling
The existing listing's 22kg deadlift figure is a load-test claim, not a recommended reel-drag setting or fish-lifting limit. Do not use the rod to lift fish; use suitable landing equipment and avoid high-sticking. Rinse away saltwater residue, allow the rod to dry and inspect guide inserts, fittings and joints before use.
