Baitcast Reels

The GOOFISH BCS250 is a baitcasting reel with separate left- and right-hand retrieve versions. Pair it with a compatible casting rod; a baitcasting reel is not another name for a spinning reel.

BCS250 specifications and choices

The BCS250 Baitcasting Reel combines 6.18:1 gearing, a CNC-machined aluminum body and sideplates, carbon fiber drag and a double handle. Its listed weight is approximately 470g. Choose Silver or Gold and the hand you use to wind, checking the complete option before ordering.

Reference monofilament capacities are 265m at 0.28mm, 216m at 0.31mm or 190m at 0.33mm. Actual fill depends on line diameter and packing; a braid's breaking-strength label does not establish the same diameter as monofilament.

Separate casting control from fighting drag

Casting brakes help control spool rotation during a cast. Fighting drag controls resistance when line is pulled from the reel; tightening drag is not a remedy for backlash. Follow the model's instructions to identify and adjust each control.

Check reel-foot fit, line, leader and lure weight against your rod's guidance. The listed maximum drag is not an everyday setting or a fish-size guarantee.
