      The Ares Light models have different lengths, jig ranges and construction choices. Compare the exact specification before ordering rather than treating “light jigging” as one universal weight class.

      Compare the two Ares Light models

      • Ares Light 172cm: listed 40–150g jig range, FUJI SiC guides and separate spinning or casting versions. Choose one-piece or two-piece butt-joint construction from the available options.
      • Purple Ares Light 190cm: listed 60–250g jig range, PE1.5–4 line class, FUJI SiC guides and two-piece butt-joint construction, with separate spinning and casting versions.

      Match the configuration to your setup

      Start with your regular jig weights and reel type, then check the section design and listed dimensions for transport. A butt-joint rod separates near the handle; its sections are not necessarily equal in length.
