Choose the configuration for your reel
Spinning: standard spinning guide layout for a compatible spinning reel.

One-piece or butt-joint transport
The one-piece models require space for approximately the full 195cm rod. The butt-joint models separate near the handle and list an approximately 140cm packed length. Measure your storage space and protective case before choosing; two pieces do not automatically mean a compact backpacking outfit.
For butt-joint assembly, align the guides and seat the joint according to its intended fit. Inspect the connection before use and protect the tip and guide frames during transport.
Match your jigs and line
Choose around the recommended 150–400g range for regular use. The 500g maximum is a separate upper rating, not a default jig weight for every depth or current. Current, drift, line resistance and jig shape all affect presentation.
Browse the fishing jigs collection and check each jig's actual weight against the selected rod's guidance. Do not automatically interpret a vertical-jigging rating as a casting-weight allowance.
PE3–6 is a line-sizing class, not 3–6lb test. Check the actual braid's diameter and stated strength alongside reel capacity, leader and connections. The chart's 18kg power/load figure is not a recommended fishing-drag setting or permission to lift fish with the rod.
Care and handling
Inspect guide inserts, the joint where fitted and the reel seat before fishing. Avoid high-sticking and use suitable landing equipment. After saltwater use, rinse residue away with fresh water, allow the rod to dry and protect it during storage.

Gave this reel to my son for his birthday. He has been eyeing it for some time and was very surprised to receive it as a gift. He has not used it yet but is already planning to take it on a trip this summer.
The rod arrived pretty fast and package is solid. I have not gotten a chance to use it, but I put two pieces together and put some weight on the tip of the rod to test it out. With 16 oz of weight, the rod bend a little bit and responded evenly when I pull the tip.

Great rod value, just like anything you could buy a custom rod and get a better rod but you would also spend a lot more money, I'm just getting into jigging and I've only used this once but caught a 30" gag grouper without a problem.
