Goofish® Rod-More Than Fishing
GOOFISH® Tidepoint Single Jigging Assist Hooks
Description
Product details
The GOOFISH Tidepoint is a proposed single jigging assist hook designed around a short cord connection and a compact, uncluttered rig. It is a separate development direction from the existing paired-hook concept.
Development concept, not released production stock. All sizes, materials, cord lengths, pack contents and prices below are proposed targets requiring supplier review and sample testing. The illustration is not a product photograph or manufacturing drawing.
Choose the development specification
| Specification | 2/0 Short | 3/0 Short |
|---|---|---|
| Nominal hook size | 2/0 | 3/0 |
| Effective cord length target | 20mm | 25mm |
| Proposed pack | 2 single-hook assemblies | 2 single-hook assemblies |
| Suggested development price | US$8.99 per pack | US$9.99 per pack |
Measure effective cord length between the ring contact and hook-eye contact with the assembly laid straight without stretching. Supplier hook numbering is not standardized; actual hook gap, wire diameter, overall dimensions and ring dimensions remain unassigned until samples are measured. Do not select solely by the 2/0 or 3/0 label.
Proposed construction
- One forged high-carbon-steel hook per assembly, black-finish candidate; alloy, heat treatment and coating await supplier approval.
- Dark teal braided UHMWPE assist-cord candidate, with charcoal binding and protective sleeve at the hook eye.
- One solid attachment ring per assembly; alloy, size and connection strength to be confirmed.
- No feathers, flash dressing or second hook in this proposed format.
Rigging intent and selection
Intended for controlled vertical metal-jig presentations from a boat. Compare hook gap with the jig body and check that the cord allows movement without placing the point against the jig or other hardware. Test the actual assembly for fouling before fishing. No jig-weight range, target-fish weight or guaranteed hooking performance is assigned.
Proposed pack contents are two single-hook assemblies only. Jigs, split rings, line, rods and reels are not included. Final pack contents require sample and packaging approval.
Development approval checklist
Confirm hook dimensions, point consistency, eye finish, cord abrasion at contact points, binding security, ring closure and coating durability. A qualified supplier must establish guarded pull-test methods and acceptance limits for the complete assembly. No tested breaking strength, working load or corrosion rating is claimed. Validate packaging protection for the sharp points before release.
Handling and care
Keep hook points covered during storage and away from children. Inspect the cord, binding, ring and hook before use; replace damaged assemblies. Rinse gently with fresh water after saltwater exposure and dry before storing. Do not use hooks or the fishing rod to lift fish.
