I haven't used this rod yet but it does seem to have the characteristics of the purple diamond but with more backbone. Im honestly not thrilled with the color choice, however the rod isn't about fashion. I own almost every rod from goofish and quality and reliability is superb.
Had a great day off the coast of NC. This wahoo was a great prize. He hit my free line, which had a cigar minnow on it. Take a day or two off and go fishing.

Gave this reel to my son for his birthday. He has been eyeing it for some time and was very surprised to receive it as a gift. He has not used it yet but is already planning to take it on a trip this summer.
The rod arrived pretty fast and package is solid. I have not gotten a chance to use it, but I put two pieces together and put some weight on the tip of the rod to test it out. With 16 oz of weight, the rod bend a little bit and responded evenly when I pull the tip.

Great rod value, just like anything you could buy a custom rod and get a better rod but you would also spend a lot more money, I'm just getting into jigging and I've only used this once but caught a 30" gag grouper without a problem.
