The PE2–4 specification chart provides a 120–350g jig range without a separate preferred working range and upper rating. Do not apply its weights, dimensions or guide counts to PE3–6. The PE3–6 option's 500g maximum is not a recommendation to use a 500g jig on every drift. PE is a line-sizing class, not an exact pound-test conversion.

Work metal jigs with controlled lifts, pauses and falls. Choose jig weight for your model's guidance, water depth, current and lure control. Match your reel, line and leader to the complete setup.
Static-load demonstrations are not recommended fishing-drag settings or fish-lifting limits. Avoid high-sticking and use suitable landing equipment instead of lifting fish with the rod. Rinse away saltwater residue, let the rod dry before storage and inspect guide inserts and the reel seat before use.

First few drops and hooked up with a 50+ lb amberjack....definitely tested the drag. I can't wait to get it out again this weekend. I have 4 Goofish rods total and have had great experiences with them all.

Gave this reel to my son for his birthday. He has been eyeing it for some time and was very surprised to receive it as a gift. He has not used it yet but is already planning to take it on a trip this summer.
The rod arrived pretty fast and package is solid. I have not gotten a chance to use it, but I put two pieces together and put some weight on the tip of the rod to test it out. With 16 oz of weight, the rod bend a little bit and responded evenly when I pull the tip.

Great rod value, just like anything you could buy a custom rod and get a better rod but you would also spend a lot more money, I'm just getting into jigging and I've only used this once but caught a 30" gag grouper without a problem.
