The GOOFISH BCS250 saltwater baitcasting reel combines a 6.18:1 gear ratio, CNC-machined aluminum construction and a double handle with two textured black grips. Choose Silver or Gold, with separate left- and right-hand retrieve options.
Before your next session, choose the hand you use to wind, match the reel to a compatible casting rod and set up the spool controls for your lure and conditions. The BCS250's angular metal frame, machined cutouts and dual-grip handle give this model its distinctive appearance.

| 0.33mm | 190m |
Weight and line capacity are approximate. Actual capacity varies with line diameter and packing; do not assume that a braid's stated strength has the same diameter as monofilament. Gear ratio describes spool rotation per handle turn, not a fixed line-retrieve distance. Maximum drag is not a recommended everyday setting or a fish-lifting rating.

Choose your retrieve hand and color
Select Left if you wind with your left hand, or Right if you wind with your right hand. Both retrieve options are available in Silver and Gold, with BCS250 selected for all four combinations. Check the complete selection before ordering; do not assume the handle can be switched between sides.

Casting brake and fighting drag are different
A casting brake helps control spool rotation while casting. Fighting drag controls the resistance when line is pulled from the reel during a fight. Adjusting a magnetic casting brake is not the same as setting fighting drag.
Follow the supplied instructions to identify each control. Start with conservative spool-control settings, practice short casts in a clear area and make small adjustments for lure weight and wind. Keep the hook or lure away from people while testing. Set fighting drag separately for the weakest part of the rod, main line, leader and knots; tightening drag is not a remedy for backlash.

Build a matching casting setup
Match this baitcasting reel to a compatible casting rod and line suited to your lure, knots and fishing conditions. Check the reel seat, handle and visible fittings before use. Use appropriate landing equipment rather than lifting fish with the rod or reel. A maximum-drag figure does not establish a recommended fish size.

Everyday questions and troubleshooting
What should I do if the spool backlashes?
Stop casting and do not force the handle through tangled line. With hooks and lures secured safely, ease loose loops out gently using the supplied instructions. Check the line for damage before continuing. Use a more conservative casting-brake setting and smoother short casts while practicing; adjust gradually for the lure and wind. Drag settings do not replace spool control.
Why does line release more easily than expected?
Check fighting drag, knots and the line's attachment to the spool. Test gently in a safe area. Begin with a conservative drag setting suitable for your line, leader, knots and rod; do not tighten to the listed maximum simply to stop line release. If controls do not respond normally, stop use and seek service.
What if winding feels stiff or rough?
Remove line tension safely and check for tangled line, visible debris or line rubbing the frame. Do not force the handle or use it to free a snag. If roughness persists without load, or the reel begins grinding, stop using it and arrange inspection. Do not open the reel or spray lubricant into internal parts as a quick fix.
What should I do about a new noise or loose handle?
Stop fishing and inspect the handle and visible fittings. Follow the model's instructions for any external adjustment; do not overtighten fittings or guess an internal repair. Continued noise, play or inconsistent drag calls for service rather than further use.

Care after saltwater use
A short cleaning routine after each saltwater session helps keep exterior salt residue from accumulating. The reel's supplied maintenance instructions take priority over general care advice.
- Remove salt: wipe exterior surfaces and handle grips with a soft cloth lightly dampened with fresh water.
- Clean gently: use a soft brush on accessible exterior crevices. Avoid high-pressure water, immersion, abrasive cleaners and solvents.
- Dry completely: air-dry in a shaded, ventilated place before storage. Do not seal a damp reel in a bag or case.
- Inspect before use: check line abrasion, knots, the handle and visible fittings; test winding and drag gently before fishing.
- Store dry: keep the reel in a dry, ventilated location. An anodized finish does not eliminate the need for saltwater care.
Where should I add oil or grease?
Use only the lubricant, locations and service intervals specified in the supplied manual. Do not spray oil into bearings or drag parts indiscriminately. If model-specific instructions are unavailable, ask for service guidance before opening the reel. After immersion or persistent grinding, avoid further use until the reel has been inspected.
